International Service Project Update - Last week’ we heard from Shaun Wagner, Chair of our club’s International Service Committee. A major focus has been water,
sanitation, and hygiene initiatives in Kenya and Tanzania. These projects include constructing restrooms and showers at public schools, with community-accessible
water taps that generate revenue for ongoing maintenance. Additionally, training programs are equipping communities with essential hygiene and sanitation
knowledge, and water filters are being distributed to provide clean drinking water.
Beyond Africa, our club is also contributing to international efforts such as providing stovetops for families in Guatemala, supporting medical equipment and
ventilators, and funding water wells in Haiti. These projects are carefully planned in collaboration with local Rotary clubs in the regions they serve, ensuring
sustainability and lasting impact.
