DISC GOLF AT SEASIDE HIGH SCHOOL - Erin Johnson, Executive Director of the United States Youth Disc Golf Association, presented an exciting initiative to bring disc
golf to Seaside High School. With the goal of engaging the “Xbox generation” in an accessible, low-impact sport, the program aims to provide new opportunities for
students, particularly those not involved in traditional athletics.
Disc golf is the fastest-growing sport of its kind, featuring two seasons and a strong focus on movement, outdoor activity, and family engagement. Notably, 25% of
participants have autism, and 40% have some developmental disability, making it an inclusive option for many students.
Thanks to Seaside High School's Key Club, a disc golf course has already been cleared on campus. It will be used for school activities and a planned competitive team
next year while also being open to the public outside school hours. The course is expected to become a tourist attraction for Seaside.
To support the project, sponsorships for kiosks and signage are available at reasonable rates. For more information, visit usydga.com or contact Erin at
