At the last meeting we welcomed the Astoria Regatta Court. The princesses who came to the club meeting were Princess Teslyn Wintersteen of Astoria, Princess
MacKenzie Haag of Seaside and Princess Jordan Josephson of Seaside.
They all gave incredible speeches about previous Regatta Queens. The common theme was how Regatta impacted their lives and how important Regatta was in
shaping their futures and the incredible experiences they still remember from their time in the Regatta Court.
The Regatta Queens were leaders who went through difficulties but found a way to make a difference. They were role models for future generations.
Since 1894, the Astoria Regatta has celebrated our maritime heritage, and these young women are incredible ambassadors of that tradition.
Being chosen for the Regatta Court is a true honor and a meaningful leadership experience for these high school young women—building confidence, community
connection, and pride in representing one of the Pacific Northwest’s oldest festivals
